In response to the catastrophic destruction of Gaza’s Higher Education sector, Mothers of Hind is proud to announce our partnerships with Islamic University of Gaza and Al Azhar University in Gaza to support Palestinian universities in sustaining teaching, learning, and research guided by local need and priorities by launching HEiAN.

HEiAN is a volunteer-led initiative connecting academics around the world with universities in Gaza to deliver online teaching, share resources, and support institutional recovery. The network directly responds to the urgent priorities identified by Gaza’s universities, including continuity of online learning, release of graduation certificates, and student sponsorship.

Currently in its pilot phase, HEiAN is working with academic volunteers to deliver short courses, recorded lectures, and research mentoring aligned with the needs of Gazan institutions. We are also developing a digital platform to match volunteer academics to divisions in need of their support using Power BI.
